Introduction:

            Enterprise structure is a representation of Legal and Organizational structure of the company

          It helps to set up the structure for all business functions like

§  Finance and Controlling (FI-CO)

§  Sales & Distribution (SD)

§  Marketing Management (MM)

§  Logistics General (LO) and Logistics Execution (LE)

It allows necessary integration among these functions (SAP calls these as Modules) within enterprise structure to manage transaction processing. 

Enterprise structure of sales and distribution has the following basic organizational elements.

·         Sales organization

·         Distribution channel

·         Sales office

·         Sales group

  
 Company:

                     Company is an Organizational unit in accounting which represents a business organisation for which individual financial statements can be drawn according to the relevant commercial law. It is nothing but a client to whom we are going to implement SAP. It represents a corporate group. A company can consists of one or more company codes. A Company in SAP is denoted by five character alphanumeric code .

Company Code:

        It is a physical organizational unit which is responsible for all external financial transactions happening the company. The external financial transactions are Balance sheet, profit and loss Sheet. Company Code is an independent organizational unit that represents subsidiary of company
